This course examines mergers and acquisition activities undertaken by corporations and  private equity investors. The objectives are to understand the economic role of M&A and  the structure of M&A transactions. The course describes valuation analyses to evaluate the  impacts of a potential transaction, the financing of transactions, the structuring of  transactions, and how these transactions are driven by and affect corporate strategy.
