LEADERSHIP ACADEMY CERTIFICATE
MBA@UNC students are eligible for the Leadership Academy Certificate.
The Leadership Academy Certificate at UNC Kenan-Flagler’s MBA@UNC program is designed for high achievers aiming to excel in senior-level roles across various industries.
MBA@UNC students can apply for the Leadership Academy Certificate through the UNC Graduate School while enrolled in the program, earning an additional credential on their path to the MBA. This credential enhances leadership skills by building on the core MBA curriculum and is rooted in UNC Kenan-Flagler’s values of Impact, Innovation, Inclusion, and Integrity.
Foundations of the Leadership Academy Certificate:
- Impact-Driven Approach: Students learn to envision and achieve sustainable, strategic, and transparent results that make a real difference.
- Innovative Problem-Solving: Students develop the adaptability, curiosity, and growth mindset needed to generate novel solutions to complex challenges.

Certificate Requirements
Students may complete any combination of the following courses, with a minimum of 10 credits. All courses taken towards completion of the Leadership Academy Certificate also count towards the MBA degree requirements.

The program is open to MBA@UNC students who have completed their first quarter (and before the final quarter). Enrolled students need to apply for the Leadership Academy certificate through the UNC Graduate School.
