Held twice per year in the fall and spring, MBA@UNC's graduation ceremony takes place on the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Graduation brings students from around the world together to celebrate their accomplishments as they prepare to advance their careers as UNC Kenan-Flagler alumni.
Hear how the MBA@UNC program has changed the lives of recent graduates:
The MBA@UNC graduation weekend begins with an evening gathering of graduates, friends and family in order to celebrate students' achievements and build upon the personal and professional bonds they have formed throughout the course of their education.
The next day, MBA@UNC students take part in their commencement ceremony, hearing from UNC Kenan-Flagler leaders, a student-nominated class speaker and a prominent business leader who will deliver the commencement address. In addition to receiving their MBA degrees, additional designations are also awarded for Valedictorian, Dean's Scholars, Beta Gamma Sigma inductees and the Leadership Initiative Designees.
Following the ceremony, graduates and their families attend a reception in honor of the occasion.
UNC Kenan-Flagler Class Campaign
In a short amount of time, the students and alums of MBA@UNC have created a culture of giving back to the UNC Kenan-Flagler community. At the request of students and faculty, donations to the Class Campaign have been made in memory of an MBA@UNC student, Steven Brothers, who passed away while enrolled in the program. The Major Steven Brothers MBA@UNC Fund benefits future MBA@UNC students via endowed Immersion Scholarships that are awarded to incoming students. This is the first donor-supported fund to be designated for this express purpose and is the first endowed scholarship for MBA@UNC.
