What is MBA@UNC?
MBA@UNC uses the most advanced social networking and videoconferencing technology to deliver Kenan-Flagler’s internationally recognized graduate business curriculum to students around the world. Weekly, live online class sessions delivered by UNC Kenan-Flagler faculty with only 10 to 15 students allow seminar-style discussions to occur between students and faculty on different continents. Self-paced, multimedia coursework produced by UNC Kenan-Flagler faculty prepares students for richer discussion, interaction and learning in the scheduled weekly classes and allow students to collaborate on projects while retaining the flexibility of their own schedules. Quarterly weekend immersion experiences bring students together in-person to network and collaborate with classmates, professors and business leaders, and provide the opportunity to further develop skills by engaging in live simulations, mock interviews and other hands-on experiences. With a minimum of two years work experience (five preferred), your peers in MBA@UNC will be a highly professional and extremely diverse group of students from all branches of industry. What is the Weekend MBA program?
The Weekend MBA program is a Master of Business Administration which offers one of the world’s most highly ranked graduate business educations to a select group of accomplished professionals. With an average of 11 years of work experience, the Weekend MBA boasts a rigorous academic cohort and a valuable professional network. Because classes are held on UNC’s Chapel Hill campus twice a month on Fridays and Saturdays, you will have ample time to maintain professional and personal commitments, but will need to be able to commute to Kenan-Flagler.
In the first year of the program, all students study a core curriculum to establish a shared knowledge-base. In the second year, each student specializes in finance, strategy or marketing depending on his or her particular career trajectory. The 20-month program also includes a one-week on-campus immersion experience and an optional one-week international immersion.
