Pranab Majumder

Pranab Majumder is a Professor of Operations at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He teaches courses in Operations Management and Strategy. He conducts academic research and publishes in peer-reviewed scholarly journals. He also consults for non-profits and for-profit social entrepreneurs.



Professor Majumder has been nominated for teaching awards by his students, and has received the Dean’s Fellowship for Excellence in Teaching at Duke University.



Professor Majumder leads the Global Consulting Practicum in Social Entrepreneurship (India) under the Centre for Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship at the Fuqua School. Past projects have been in the areas of urban slum education, integrated rural development, health care access and solar energy.

Dr. Majumder received his PhD in Business Administration and a MS in Management Science Methods from the University of Rochester.
