Shawnice Meador has more than sixteen years of progressive corporate and higher education experience, including leadership roles in career management, leadership development, strategic talent management, process improvement and engineering at General Motors, General Electric, Progress Energy Corporation and UNC Kenan-Flagler.
Shawnice joined the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2012. As the director of career & leadership services for working professionals, Shawnice and her team design and lead all programmatic and consultative career management and leadership development services for 900+ EMBA and MBA@UNC working professional students, as well as career management services for 33,000+ alumni worldwide. Shawnice is also the Chair of the first Cross-Program Career Services Council formed in 2014, with executive sponsorship from the Dean of the Business School.
Meador earned her B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan, and earned her MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business Weekend Executive Program eleven years ago. Shawnice received her Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Certification through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) in December 2013.
